John Tomay Memorial Library

Georgetown's branch of the Clear Creek County Library District, on 6th Street, with storytimes, a book group and evening events; closed Sundays.

The John Tomay Memorial Library is the Georgetown branch of the Clear Creek County Library District, which also runs the Idaho Springs Public Library and the Local History Archives at 809 Taos Street in Georgetown (open Tuesday and Thursday by appointment, 303-569-2403). The district’s calendar lists the branch’s storytimes, its monthly book group and evening events.

When read on 10 October 2026, the district’s hours page said the branch’s phone was temporarily out of order until about 12 October, with calls directed to the Idaho Springs library at 303-567-2020, and that every branch would be closed on Monday 12 October for Indigenous Peoples’ Day. Facts from the district’s Locations and Hours page.
