City Park
The Town's park between Rose and Taos streets south of 10th, with mature trees, a central gazebo, picnic tables and grills, and Foster's Place, the community-built playground.
City Park fills the block between Rose and Taos streets south of 10th Street. The Town of Georgetown’s parks and recreation master plan (a draft of March 2021, https://www.townofgeorgetown.us/Georgetown%20MP%20Report_FINAL_20210401.pdf) gives its address as 1001 Taos Street and describes it as one of the most popular and heavily used parks in town, a traditional family park used for local events and the Fourth of July: a gazebo in the center, historic arched gateways at each entrance, mature trees, benches, picnic tables, grills, a BBQ pit, a fountain, a flagstone path along its west and east sides, about 50 parking spaces, and Foster’s Place, the community-built playground. The plan proposed improvements, including a restroom, that this guide has not confirmed were made.
The Town’s Lake, Parks & Trails page, read 10 October 2026, lists City Park under Town Parks; neither it nor the plan gives hours or rules, and the Town’s number is 303-569-2555. The location and features are from the 2021 plan, read the same day.
