Kneisel & Anderson

Specialty and imported food shop on 6th Street, which the Town's directory calls the oldest store in Georgetown, with Scandinavian, German, English, Swiss and Swedish foods.

Kneisel & Anderson is a specialty food market on Sixth Street, established in 1883 by its own account. The selection draws on Northern European traditions and local Colorado producers: salty and sweet licorice, old-fashioned candy, artisanal cheese, and locally made jams, jellies and honey. A stop for edible gifts and specialty groceries among the downtown museums and shops.

The store is at 509 6th Street, phone 303-569-2650, open Wednesday through Sunday, 11 am to 5 pm and closed Monday and Tuesday.

Address, phone and hours were read on the store’s website on 11 October 2026.
