Venue
Historic Georgetown's house museum, an 1867 Gothic Revival home on Argentine Street, open Thursday to Saturday in season with no admission charge; closed for the season from late September until spring.
Historic Georgetown, Inc., the nonprofit that preserves and interprets the town’s historic buildings, runs the Hamill House Museum at its offices on Argentine Street. The house dates from about 1867. There is no admission charge; donations are welcome, and group or private tours can be arranged by phone. The same organization runs the Alpine Hose No. 2 firefighting museum on 5th Street and is restoring the Centennial Mill and the Kneisel House.
The season: Historic Georgetown’s site says its museums close for the season on Sunday, September 27th, and gives no reopening date; the closing date above assumes the 2026 calendar, in which that day is a Sunday. The house reopens for the ticketed Christmas at the Hamill House evenings on 12 and 19 December 2026. Hours and season from Historic Georgetown’s home page and Hamill House page, read 10 October 2026.
